Sedeveria "Blue Elf" variegated – Origin: Don Suculentas

The Sedeveria "Blue Elf" variegated is a hybrid created by Renee O’Connell, resulting from the cross between Sedum and Echeveria. It forms compact rosettes of short, fleshy, and slightly pointed leaves.

It presents a bluish-green base coloration with variegation in cream tones, accompanied by reddish or pink pigmentation at the tips under high light conditions. The surface of the leaves is waxy and slightly powdery. The Sedeveria "Blue Elf" variegated is easy to grow and very prolific, producing new rosettes quickly. Imported plant from Asia reproduced in our greenhouse.

Variegated Sedeveria: cultivation and care

Variegated Sedeveria combine the resilience and ease of growth of Sedum with the compact and ornamental shapes typical of many Echeveria. They tend to develop dense rosettes and very variable colorations depending on light, temperature, and water stress levels.

  • 💧 Water only when the substrate is completely dry
  • 🌡️ Avoid excess moisture and prolonged extreme heat
  • 🌱 Generally fast growth and ease of branching

With good lighting and gentle temperature differences, many Sedeveria variegated intensify pink, lilac, cream, and orange tones, especially during spring and autumn.

A very draining substrate, good ventilation, and avoiding prolonged moisture accumulation help maintain more compact rosettes and a more stable variegation over time.
