Graptoveria "Red Diamond" variegated – Origin: Asia

The Graptoveria ‘Red Diamond’ variegated develops a compact and very symmetrical rosette, formed by thick, elongated, and slightly cupped leaves that provide an elegant and geometric aesthetic. Its foliage combines grayish-green and cream tones distributed irregularly across the leaf surface, creating a soft and balanced contrast that is highly appreciated among variegated succulents in collections. The slight layer of bloom further accentuates the delicate and refined appearance of the plant.

Under good lighting, the Graptoveria ‘Red Diamond’ variegated can develop subtle pink or reddish hues on the edges and tips, adding chromatic depth without losing the overall harmony of the rosette. It maintains a compact and orderly growth, ideal for pot cultivation and specialized collections where clean shapes and soft variegations stand out.Imported plant from Indonesia and reproduced in our greenhouse.

Graptoveria variegated: cultivation and care

The variegated Graptoveria combine characteristics of Echeveria and Graptopetalum, developing compact rosettes with a coloration heavily influenced by lighting, temperature, and environmental stability.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light to maintain coloration and compactness
  • 💧 Water only when the substrate is completely dry
  • 🌡️ Avoid excess moisture and prolonged extreme heat
  • 🌱 Moderate growth with greater activity in spring and autumn

The most variegated varieties may exhibit slower growth and greater sensitivity to excess intense sunlight, especially during summer. Good ventilation and a very draining substrate help maintain healthier and more compact rosettes.

With mild thermal differences between day and night, the characteristic pink, lilac, cream, and yellow tones of many ornamental Graptoveria hybrids tend to intensify better.
