Graptoveria "Lovely Rose" blood – Origin: Asia

The Graptoveria "Lovely Rose" blood forms small, compact, and dense rosettes, with fleshy leaves arranged in a very tight spiral. The leaves are slightly wavy, with soft edges and a firm structure that maintains the characteristic rose-like shape. The rosette exhibits balanced development, with leaves overlapping in an orderly manner, creating a defined and compact silhouette.

The Graptoveria "Lovely Rose" blood shows a base in dusty green tones on which irregular splashes in reddish or burgundy shades appear, scattered across the surface of the leaves. These marks may concentrate on edges and raised areas, varying in intensity depending on exposure, and creating a mottled pattern that breaks the uniformity of the base color.

⚠️ Attention

These plants come from previously grafted specimens, so they are shipped without a root system. They are completely healthy and viable plants, but they will require new rooting at the destination. We recommend planting them in very well-draining substrate, keeping them in a bright environment without direct sunlight, and avoiding watering until they start to emit roots.

Graptoveria variegated: cultivation and care

The variegated Graptoveria combine characteristics of Echeveria and Graptopetalum, developing compact rosettes with a coloration heavily influenced by lighting, temperature, and environmental stability.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light to maintain coloration and compactness
  • 💧 Water only when the substrate is completely dry
  • 🌡️ Avoid excess moisture and prolonged extreme heat
  • 🌱 Moderate growth with greater activity in spring and autumn

The most variegated varieties may exhibit slower growth and greater sensitivity to excessive intense sunlight, especially during summer. Good ventilation and a very well-draining substrate help maintain healthier and more compact rosettes.

With mild thermal differences between day and night, the characteristic pink, lilac, cream, and yellow tones of many ornamental Graptoveria hybrids tend to intensify better.
