Echeveria "Tearless" variegated – Origin: Asia

The Echeveria "Tearless" variegated is one of those varieties that does not go unnoticed. It forms a compact and perfectly symmetrical rosette, with thick and rounded leaves that develop the characteristic protuberances on the surface, like small solidified droplets on each leaf.

In the Echeveria "Tearless" variegated, the bluish-green base combines with cream sectors and an intense pink pigmentation that is accentuated on edges and tips with good light. The contrast between the elevated “droplets” and the variegation creates a spectacular three-dimensional effect, making it a piece of high visual value within any specialized collection of variegated succulents.

Variegated Echeveria: cultivation and care

Variegated echeverias develop a lower photosynthetic capacity than their completely green counterparts, which directly affects their growth rate, sensitivity to excess sunlight, and tolerance to watering.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and soft exposure
  • 💧 Water only with the substrate completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid extreme heat and prolonged humidity
  • 🌱 Slower growth than non-variegated echeverias

Environmental stability, good ventilation, and avoiding sudden changes in location help maintain more compact rosettes and a more stable variegation over time.

During intense summer, they may partially slow down their growth, especially in warm climates. In these phases, controlling excess moisture is much more important than increasing the frequency of watering.
