Echeveria "Sitifukumiana" variegated – Origin: Asia

The Echeveria 'Sitifukumiana' variegated is the variegated form of this prized Japanese selection, known for its extremely compact rosettes and almost perfect geometry. Its fleshy leaves combine gray-green tones with broad cream or soft yellow areas, while the tips develop an intense reddish coloration that provides a very attractive contrast within the variegated echeverias in collections.

The Echeveria 'Sitifukumiana' variegated maintains a slow and orderly growth, forming dense rosettes of great symmetry. The coloration of the tips intensifies with good light exposure, while the abundant bloom enhances the contrasts between the green and variegated areas. Its compact size, stability, and refined appearance make it a variety especially valued by collectors of variegated succulents.

Variegated Echeveria: cultivation and care

Variegated echeverias develop a lower photosynthetic capacity than their completely green counterparts, which directly affects their growth rate, sensitivity to excess sunlight, and tolerance to watering.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and soft exposure
  • 💧 Water only with the substrate completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid extreme heat and prolonged humidity
  • 🌱 Slower growth than non-variegated echeverias

Environmental stability, good ventilation, and avoiding sudden location changes help maintain more compact rosettes and a more stable variegation over time.

During intense summer, they may partially slow down their growth, especially in warm climates. In these phases, controlling excess moisture is much more important than increasing the frequency of watering.
