Echeveria pulidonis variegated – Origin: Asia

The Echeveria pulidonis variegated is a variegated form of this botanical species that maintains its characteristic compact and well-structured rosette. It features fleshy, elongated, and slightly concave leaves, with a rounded apex and a very orderly arrangement, forming a symmetrical and dense rosette.

The Echeveria pulidonis variegated combines the typical base green of the species with irregular areas in yellow and light green tones, distributed variably on each leaf. The edges retain the fine reddish margin characteristic, which is accentuated under higher lighting conditions, creating contrast with the variegated areas of the blade.

Variegated Echeveria: cultivation and care

Variegated echeverias develop a lower photosynthetic capacity than their completely green counterparts, which directly affects their growth rate, sensitivity to excess sunlight, and tolerance to watering.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and gentle exposure
  • 💧 Water only with the substrate completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid extreme heat and prolonged humidity
  • 🌱 Slower growth than non-variegated echeverias

Environmental stability, good ventilation, and avoiding sudden changes in location help maintain more compact rosettes and a more stable variegation over time.

During intense summer, they may partially slow down their growth, especially in warm climates. In these phases, controlling excess moisture is much more important than increasing the frequency of watering.
