Echeveria "Pink Crystal" variegated – Origin: Asia

The Echeveria "Pink Crystal" variegated presents a compact rosette of great brightness, where the thick and symmetrical leaves alternate between a pale apple green and areas in translucent butter yellow. The edges are outlined in soft pink, creating a delicate contrast that intensifies with proper exposure.

The Echeveria "Pink Crystal" variegated maintains a low stature and well-defined structure, developing a clean and balanced appearance. Under mild stress or cooler temperatures, the pink margin intensifies and can turn fuchsia at the younger tips, further enhancing its ornamental character within collections of variegated succulents.

Variegated Echeveria: cultivation and care

Variegated echeverias develop a lower photosynthetic capacity than their completely green counterparts, which directly affects their growth rate, sensitivity to excess sunlight, and tolerance to watering.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and gentle exposure
  • 💧 Water only with the substrate completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid extreme heat and prolonged humidity
  • 🌱 Slower growth than non-variegated echeverias

Environmental stability, good ventilation, and avoiding sudden changes in location help maintain more compact rosettes and a more stable variegation over time.

During intense summer, they may partially slow down their growth, especially in warm climates. In these phases, controlling excess moisture is much more important than increasing the frequency of watering.
