Echeveria "Bodhi Matcha" variegated – Origin: Asia

The Echeveria "Bodhi Matcha" variegated develops a compact and well-defined rosette, with fleshy spatula-shaped leaves and slight concavity. The arrangement is dense and orderly, forming a symmetrical set where the leaves overlap evenly, generating volume without losing compactness.

The Echeveria "Bodhi Matcha" variegated features variegation in lime yellow and medium green tones, distributed in irregular stripes that run along the margin of each leaf. The contrast between light and green areas is accentuated towards the center of the rosette, while on external leaves the variegation can expand into wider blocks, maintaining a variable pattern among specimens.

Variegated Echeveria: cultivation and care

Variegated echeverias develop a lower photosynthetic capacity than their completely green counterparts, which directly affects their growth rate, sensitivity to excess sunlight, and tolerance to watering.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and soft exposure
  • 💧 Water only with the substrate completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid extreme heat and prolonged humidity
  • 🌱 Slower growth than non-variegated echeverias

Environmental stability, good ventilation, and avoiding sudden location changes help maintain more compact rosettes and a more stable variegation over time.

During intense summer, they may partially slow down their growth, especially in warm climates. In these phases, controlling excess moisture is much more important than increasing the watering frequency.
