Aeonium "Zwartkin" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Zwartkin" variegated is a selection within the Aeonium “Zwartkin” itself that maintains its compact and orderly structure, but enhances its ornamental value thanks to an intense and highly contrasted variegation. It forms symmetrical rosettes with narrower and pointed leaves than other lines, providing a defined and geometric aesthetic that is very characteristic of variegated aeoniums.
In the Aeonium "Zwartkin" variegated, the color pattern combines a light green center with cream areas and a strong pigmentation in pink and reddish tones that, under good lighting, can dominate much of the leaf. This contrast creates a very vibrant visual effect, especially under optimal growing conditions within variegated succulents.
This is a variety with balanced growth and good stability in cultivation, characterized by its chromatic intensity and marked ornamental nature. The variegated Aeonium "Zwartkin" is an ideal option for collectors seeking compact, defined specimens with a very strong visual presence among variegated succulents. Plant imported from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
Variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, primarily developing during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only with the substrate completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
