Aeonium "Zeus" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Zeus" variegated is a mutation of Aeonium undulatum that stands out within the group of variegated aeoniums for its imposing stature and structural character. It is a plant capable of developing thick and tall stems, exceeding one meter in height under optimal conditions, with large rosettes and broad leaves that reinforce its architectural presence among variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Zeus" variegated, the color pattern is clean and very stable throughout the year. The center of the leaf features a deep and broad green, surrounded by cream areas that end in a softly pink edge. This combination creates an elegant and balanced contrast, less chaotic than other variegations, but equally striking in cultivation.
In terms of growth, it tends to emit new rosettes from the base, inheriting this behavior from its parent undulatum. In times of intense heat, it can enter dormancy, slightly compacting the rosette and reducing its activity, but it quickly regains its vigor with the drop in temperatures. The variegated Aeonium "Zeus" is a solid option for collectors looking for large, stable specimens with a strong presence among variegated succulents. Plant imported from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
