Aeonium "Younger" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas

The Aeonium "Younger" variegated is born within the Aeonium “Blushing Beauty” line, passing through “Pink Witch,” but evolving into a much more delicate expression within the variegated aeoniums. It features an open and balanced rosette, with rounded and slightly wavy leaves that provide a clean and uniform aesthetic within the variegated succulents.

In the Aeonium "Younger" variegated, the variegation is broad and dominant, combining cream tones, light green, and soft pink hues in wide gradients rather than marked stripes. With good light, subtle pink blushes appear on the edges and tips, always in a subtle and harmonious manner. This more ethereal and luminous expression makes it a very elegant option among the variegated aeoniums, ideal for collections where clarity and visual balance are paramount. Imported plant from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Common names: "Shao Hua"

Aeonium variegados: cultivation and care

Variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, primarily developing during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
  • 💧 Moderate watering only with the substrate completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
  • ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts

During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.

Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
