Aeonium "Voodoo Silk Red" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Voodoo Silk Red" variegated is born from an exclusive hybrid between Aeonium undulatum and Aeonium “Zwartkop”, developed by Jack Catlin, combining the structural elegance of the former with the chromatic intensity of the latter within the variegated aeoniums. It features a wide and open rosette, with elongated and stylized leaves that provide a fluid and highly expressive aesthetic within the variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Voodoo Silk Red" variegated, color is its most distinctive feature, with a combination of intense reds, magentas, and deep blacks interwoven with variegated areas in the form of glazes and soft transitions, creating a very characteristic silky visual effect. With good light, the tones intensify notably, generating a very strong contrast between dark areas and lighter areas, making it a piece of great personality among the most exclusive variegated aeoniums. Plant imported from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
Variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
