Aeonium "Voodoo Red Witch" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Voodoo Red Witch" variegated is a mutation of Aeonium “Voodoo White”, inheriting its strong hybrid base derived from the cross between Aeonium undulatum and Aeonium “Zwartkop”, but evolving towards a darker and more contrasted expression within the variegated aeoniums. It features a wide and elegant rosette, with elongated leaves and fluid movement that enhance its presence among variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Voodoo Red Witch" variegated, the variegation is organized in very defined layers, with a center in green and cream tones that evolves towards edges dominated by intense reds, magentas, and deep blacks. This pattern creates an almost concentric effect, with pinkish edges that act as a transition between areas and contribute to that distinctive “witch” character. With good light, the contrast intensifies to the maximum, creating a very rich, dynamic, and scenic visual reading within the most striking variegated aeoniums. Plant imported from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums present a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
