🌈 Special selection – Rainbow expression
This specimen of Aeonium "Halloween" features a particularly marked multicolor expression, where the variegation combines greens, yellows, pinks, oranges, and reddish hues in a visible transition between leaves or within the same leaf. The chromatic intensity may vary depending on the light and the season, but it maintains a balanced and highly ornamental pattern that places it among the most expressive selections of the collection.
The Aeonium "Voodoo" Rainbow variegated is a mutation of the hybrid Aeonium “Voodoo”, derived from the cross between Aeonium undulatum and Aeonium “Zwartkop”, which develops an intense multicolor expression without losing the characteristic dark base of this line.It presents an open and elegant rosette, with elongated and slightly curved leaves that bring dynamism within the most expressive variegated aeoniums.
In the variegated Aeonium "Voodoo" Rainbow, color is the main protagonist, combining burgundy, deep purple, and almost absolute black with green, yellow, and pinkish touches. The variegation is irregular and changing, generating unique patterns on each leaf and a wilder and more dramatic aesthetic than other cleaner rainbows. The center tends to appear brighter, while the outer leaves concentrate the greatest chromatic intensity, creating a very powerful contrast within the collection of variegated aeoniums. Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only with the substrate completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
