Aeonium "Voodoo Purple Flame" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium “Voodoo Purple Flame” variegated is a mutation of an exclusive hybrid resulting from the cross between A. undulatum and A. ‘Zwartkop’, created by the specialist Jack Catlin, forming part of the group of high-contrast hybrid variegated aeoniums. It develops wide and very striking rosettes, where intense violet and purple tones combine with light areas in white and cream, creating a very changing aesthetic with great visual impact among the variegated succulents in the collection.
The variegation of the Aeonium “Voodoo Purple Flame” variegated is expressed in an irregular and dynamic manner, causing each specimen to evolve differently and develop unique patterns throughout the year. With good exposure, the dark tones intensify and create an even more marked contrast with the light areas of the leaf. Its irregular growth and the natural variability among rosettes make this variety a piece especially valued by collectors seeking variegated aeonium with its own personality and strong ornamental presence. Imported plant from China and reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to gradually close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
