The Aeonium "Voodoo Flame" variegated represents one of the most balanced and visual expressions within the Voodoo hybrid line, derived from the cross between Aeonium undulatum and Aeonium “Zwartkop”. It maintains the wide and elegant structure characteristic of these variegated aeoniums, with broad and slightly curved leaves that provide a clean silhouette but with enough movement within the variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Voodoo Flame" variegated, the variegation is expressed in the form of layered gradients, with a bright green center that evolves into cream, pink, and intense red tones at the edges. The well-defined pink borders reinforce that “flame” effect, while the darker areas, close to purple, add depth and contrast.The transition between colors is smooth and fluid, generating an almost hand-painted effect that makes this cultivar one of the most aesthetic and complete options among variegated aeoniums. Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
Variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only with the substrate completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
