Aeonium "Voodoo Big Bang" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium “Voodoo Big Bang” variegated is a mutation of an exclusive hybrid resulting from the cross between Aeonium undulatum and Aeonium ‘Zwartkop’, created by specialist Jack Catlin, belonging to the group of high-contrast ornamental variegated aeoniums. It develops large structured rosettes where dark green and deep black tones combine with light areas that provide brightness and contrast, creating a very intense and easily recognizable appearance among the variegated succulents in the collection.
The Aeonium “Voodoo Big Bang” variegated stands out for its robust stature, strong visual presence, and the natural variability of variegation among specimens, as each plant can develop slightly different patterns.Under good lighting, the dark tones are further intensified, reinforcing the overall contrast of the rosette. It exhibits moderate growth, good stability in cultivation, and a very balanced structure even in young specimens, becoming one of the most striking varieties among the hybrid variegated aeoniums in the collection. Plant imported from China and reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
