Aeonium "Venus" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas

The Aeonium "Venus" variegated is a mutation of Aeonium “Mardi Grass” in which the variegation is expressed in a very defined and regular manner, resulting in one of the most balanced appearances among variegated aeoniums. It maintains the open and symmetrical structure typical of this genetic line, with elongated and well-distributed leaves that provide a very clean aesthetic within variegated succulents.

In the Aeonium "Venus" variegated, a central variegation in yellow-cream tones runs uniformly along the leaf, while the green areas are well-defined on both sides. The edge develops a continuous pink line that intensifies with light, creating a very orderly and almost geometric appearance. This stable and defined pattern makes it an ideal option for collectors seeking symmetrical and elegant variegated aeoniums among variegated succulents. Imported plant from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados: cultivation and care

Variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
  • 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
  • ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts

During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.

Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
