Aeonium "Super Bang" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Super Bang" variegated is a mutation of Aeonium “Velour” that takes its dark and velvety aesthetic to the extreme, standing out among variegated aeoniums for its marked contrast and strong visual presence in variegated succulent collections.
In the Aeonium "Super Bang" variegated, the rosette maintains an elegant and slightly open structure, with elongated leaves that style outward. The center retains a luminous green with reddish hues, while the leaves quickly evolve into very deep burgundy tones, almost black, with a shiny finish that provides that characteristic “lacquered” effect. Under good light, the edges intensify in dark red, generating a very clean contrast between the heart and the exterior.
Compared to its baseline, it presents a much more intense saturation and a clear tendency to darken, making it a very powerful piece within the catalog. The variegated Aeonium "Super Bang" shows balanced growth and good adaptation to cultivation, being especially interesting for collectors looking for dark variegated aeoniums with character among variegated succulents. Plant imported from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to gradually close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
