Aeonium "Scarlet Ink" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Scarlet Ink" variegated is a mutation of Aeonium “Ink Painting”, within the genetic line of Aeonium “Mardi Grass”, where the variegation evolves into a more defined and contrasted expression within the variegated aeoniums. It maintains an open and quite symmetrical rosette, with elongated and stylized leaves that provide a light and orderly aesthetic within the variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Scarlet Ink" variegated, the variegation is organized into very light longitudinal stripes, where the white-cream dominates much of the surface, accompanied by well-centered and clean green lines. With light, the edges develop very marked pink to reddish tones that create a sharp outline and a very graphic reading of the rosette. This structured pattern makes it a key base within the variegated aeonium, especially for collectors of variegated succulents seeking contrast and definition. Plant imported from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeonium presents a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer it significantly reduces its activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
