Aeonium "Rain Lotus" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium “Rain Lotus” variegated is believed to be a mutation derived from A. Madeira Rose (also known as ‘Halloween’), belonging to the group of variegated aeonium developed from this well-known genetic line. It develops compact and orderly rosettes, with leaves that show a well-defined green center accompanied by light cream margins that, under good lighting, can acquire soft pinkish hues. This combination creates a clean, elegant, and very balanced appearance for much of the year.
With greater light exposure, the Aeonium “Rain Lotus” variegated progressively intensifies the definition of the edges and the contrast between green and light areas, enhancing its ornamental value within collections of variegated aeonium. It shows stable growth and good sprouting capacity, although it may develop more slowly during the early stages or after changes in location. Once adapted, it maintains a vigorous and balanced structure without showing any special weaknesses beyond the typical cold sensitivity of the genus. Imported plant from China and reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
