Aeonium "Porsche" variegated - Origin: China
The variegated Aeonium ‘Porsche’ is probably a mutation of A. undulatum, with some similarities to Aeonium ‘Zeus’, belonging to the group of compact variegated aeoniums derived from this botanical line.
Its leaves show a deep green center with a very wide band, cream-white edges, and occasionally a slight pinkish tone on the margins under good lighting.
Unlike ‘Zeus’, it maintains its colors quite consistently throughout the year, without abrupt changes between seasons, maintaining a balanced aesthetic within the collection of variegated succulents.
It produces numerous shoots, generally from the sides, and has a more compact growth habit, with somewhat smaller rosettes that favor a dense and balanced structure in each plant.
This variegated plant is particularly interesting due to its stability, good branching ability, and ease of cultivation among collectible Aeonium.
Due to its behavior and aesthetics, the variegated Aeonium ‘Porsche’ is a highly valued option for collectors seeking showy, compact, and reliable plants for their collection.

Growth cycle of the Aeonium "Porsche" variegated
One of the most important characteristics of variegated aeoniums is their growth cycle, which is opposite to that of many other succulents.
- Active stage: autumn, winter, and spring
- Rest period: summer
During the summer rest, the plant naturally reduces its activity. Forcing watering or growth during this phase can cause root problems.
Watering
Watering should always be adapted to the time of year and the actual condition of the plant.
- In active growth: moderate watering every 2–3 weeks, only when the substrate is completely dry
- In summer rest: do not water the substrate; only light misting on specific days
Excess water is one of the main risks in the cultivation of variegated aeonium.
Light and location
These plants need good lighting to maintain a balanced structure, but they do not tolerate prolonged intense sun well.
- Bright and well-ventilated light
- Avoid strong direct sunlight between May and October
- Special care between 12:00 and 16:00
The gentle morning or late afternoon sun is the most suitable.
Temperature
- Optimal temperature: between 10 °C and 30 °C
- Protect against frost
- Avoid watering at temperatures below 10 °C
In conditions of prolonged intense heat, the plant naturally enters dormancy.

Important considerations
