Aeonium "Pink MoonLight" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas

The Aeonium “Pink MoonLight” variegated is a mutation of A. “Morticia”, derived in turn from a reversion of A. “Mardi Grass” variegated, belonging to the group of variegated aeoniums developed from this well-known genetic line. It develops compact and balanced rosettes with leaves that display a light green central band accompanied by broad white or cream margins. Under good sun exposure, these light areas evolve into pink or reddish tones, providing a particularly bright and elegant appearance.

The Aeonium “Pink MoonLight” variegated maintains a compact form and a very orderly structure throughout the year, especially standing out in spring and periods of high brightness, when the pink tones become notably more intense. It exhibits balanced growth and a fairly stable variegation within the Mardi Grass. group. Like the other variegated aeoniums, it requires abundant light, very well-draining substrate, and protection against frost to properly develop its ornamental potential. Aeonium variegados: cultivation and care

The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, primarily developing during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.

  • 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
  • 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
  • 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
  • ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts

During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.

Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
