Aeonium "Pink Maggie" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium “Pink Maggie” variegated is a mutation of A. “Meiji”, derived from A. “Mardi Grass”, belonging to the group of variegated aeoniums developed from this well-known genetic line. During winter and in conditions of lower light, it develops leaves with a central green band accompanied by cream-yellow margins, maintaining the structure and characteristic pattern of this group of variegated Asian plants.
With increased light and temperature, the Aeonium “Pink Maggie” variegated progressively intensifies its coloration, developing very pronounced reddish edges and dark centers that can reach almost black tones during periods of maximum exposure. This strong contrast between warm and dark tones gives it a particularly intense and striking appearance within the group Mardi Grass. It shows balanced growth and, to date, has not shown any notable weaknesses in cultivation. Plant imported from China and reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to gradually close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
