Aeonium "Meiya" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Meiya" variegated is a mutation of A. “Mardi Gras” that stands out within the group of variegated aeoniums for its robust stature and its clean, well-defined variegation. It develops large, open rosettes, capable of exceeding 20 cm in well-established specimens, maintaining the vigorous structure characteristic of this genetic line within variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Meiya" variegated, the center of the leaf remains light green, while the sides present cream areas that, under good lighting, evolve into intense pink tones. This tricolor pattern, organized in longitudinal stripes, creates a very orderly and recognizable visual effect, providing balance and contrast within the rosette.
Under light stress conditions or during rest, the plant may darken to deep purple tones, increasing its seasonal appeal. The variegated Aeonium "Meiya" exhibits stable growth and good adaptation to cultivation, making it a very interesting option for collectors seeking large, structured specimens with a prominent presence among variegated succulents. Plant imported from China, reproduced in our greenhouse.
Known names: " Black Loli", "Wheel Brocart", "Meija"

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
