Aeonium "Meiji" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Meiji" variegated is a mutation of Aeonium “Hong Yang”, which in turn is derived from Aeonium “Mardi Grass”, where the variegation is expressed in a brighter and more orderly manner among variegated aeoniums. It maintains the open and balanced structure characteristic of this genetic line, with wide and well-distributed leaves that provide a clean aesthetic within variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Meiji" variegated, a base in yellow-cream tones dominates, occupying a large part of the leaf, over which well-defined green areas overlap in the central axis. The edge develops a continuous pink line that intensifies with light, reinforcing the symmetry of the rosette and creating a very balanced composition. This clear and orderly pattern makes it an ideal choice for collectors seeking harmonious and elegant variegated aeoniums within variegated succulents.Imported plant from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to gradually close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
