Aeonium "Green Qingcheng" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium “Green Qingcheng” variegated is a mutation of Aeonium ‘Neptune’, derived in turn from A. ‘Madeira Rose’ (also known as ‘Halloween’), belonging to the group of variegated aeonium collections developed from this genetic line. During winter and in conditions of lower light, it develops leaves with an intense green central band accompanied by soft cream or white margins, maintaining a clean and very balanced appearance within the rosette.
With increased light and exposure, the lighter areas may acquire slight pinkish hues that provide contrast without altering the characteristic green predominance of this variety. The Aeonium “Green Qingcheng” variegated exhibits normal growth, good branching capacity, and a particularly stable coloration throughout the year.Like other mutations derived from Madeira Rose, it can develop slowly during the early stages before becoming more lush and vigorous with maturity. Plant imported from China and reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
