Aeonium "Fiesta Big Bang" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium “Fiesta Big Bang” variegated is a mutation of A. ‘Sunrise’, derived from A. ‘Fiesta’, belonging to the group of more striking variegated aeonium collections due to its coloration pattern and seasonal behavior. It develops balanced rosettes with elongated leaves where characteristic black stripes appear irregularly distributed over a variegated green background, creating a very distinctive contrast within this genetic line.
During the winter growth stage and under lower light conditions, the dark stripes may soften or partially disappear, showing a more uniform coloration. With increased light and exposure, the black stripes progressively intensify again, reinforcing the visual contrast characteristic of the Aeonium “Fiesta Big Bang” variegated. It shows rapid growth, average shoot emission, and a moisture resistance superior to other varieties derived from ‘Fiesta’, while maintaining a vigorous and stable structure in cultivation. Plant imported from China and reproduced in our greenhouse.
Known names: ‘Fiesta Bigbang’, ‘Brown Bear’, ‘Fiesta Rainbow Sunglow’, ‘Morandi’

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only when the substrate is completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
