Aeonium "Black Swan" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium "Black Swan" variegated is a mutation of Aeonium “Zwartkin” that maintains its dark genetic base but introduces a much more complex and contrasted color distribution within the variegated aeoniums. It retains the open and elegant structure typical of this line, with elongated and well-separated leaves that provide a very clean appearance within the variegated succulents.
In the Aeonium "Black Swan" variegated, a central green band appears that remains visible even in good light, while the lateral areas evolve from orange tones to intense reds, saturating at the edges. With greater light exposure, the dark areas intensify towards deep tones, generating a very marked contrast between the center, mid-zones, and edges. This behavior clearly differentiates it from its baseline, providing a more dynamic and changing aesthetic, ideal for collectors of variegated aeonium who seek contrast and evolution within variegated succulents. Imported plant from China reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
Variegated aeonium have a different growth cycle than many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only with the substrate completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate is much more important than following strict watering schedules.
