Aeonium "Sunrise" variegated - Origin: Don Suculentas
The Aeonium “Sunrise” variegated is a mutation of A. ‘Fiesta’, characterized by a more intense and contrasted chromatic expression within this group of variegated aeonium collectibles. It develops balanced rosettes with elongated leaves where, during the winter months and lower light conditions, a central green band predominates accompanied by well-defined yellow margins. Its structure maintains a neat and very stable appearance for much of the year.
With increased light and temperature, the more mature leaves quickly develop intense orange and red tones on the lateral bands, clearly differentiating from ‘Fiesta’, which presents softer and less saturated colorations. The center of the rosette remains green even during periods of maximum coloration, providing contrast and visual balance. The Aeonium “Sunrise” variegated stands out for maintaining a relatively consistent appearance compared to other more extreme varieties, being especially valued for its ornamental stability and balanced behavior in cultivation. Plant imported from China and reproduced in our greenhouse.

Aeonium variegados : cultivation and care
The variegated aeoniums have a different growth cycle compared to many other succulents, developing mainly during autumn, winter, and spring, while in summer they significantly reduce their activity.
- 🌞 A lot of filtered light and good ventilation
- 💧 Moderate watering only with the substrate completely dry
- 🔥 Avoid intense sun and excess humidity during summer
- ❄️ Protect against prolonged frosts
During the summer dormancy, the rosettes tend to progressively close to protect the growth center from extreme heat. In this phase, excess moisture can easily cause root problems, especially with high temperatures and tropical nights.
Observing the plant and adapting to the actual growing climate are much more important than following strict watering schedules.
